Job: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: York, PA Description:-
- The primary focus will be to apply established Mechanical Engineering principles to plan, design and develop plumbing, HVAC, controls, and fire protection systems for buildings. Direct all aspects of assigned engineering projects, including oversight of project team.
Job Responsibilities: - Provide mentorship and guidance to multiple levels of employees for both Technical and Soft skills.
- Perform independent review and checking of other's engineering calculations and design documents providing feedback and training when necessary.
- Maintain and continue to develop strong technical knowledge in the use, and application of current technologies, design techniques, procedures, regulations, materials, and specifications.
- Monitor trade/discipline advances and recommend training for department.
- Utilize BIM software to develop design documents directly or with assistance from project team members.
- Review shop drawings, specifications, and develop construction cost estimates.
- Perform QA/QC procedures and enforce quality control procedures throughout project development.
- Assure compliance with Project Delivery standards relevant to project design and implementation.
- Provide technical solutions to construction problems.
- Conduct studies and develop reports for advanced technical projects.
- Support the Project Manager/Architect with proposal development, work plan development, coordination of multi-discipline projects, monitoring of schedules and budgets, attendance of project client and team meetings to assist with coordination and development of project requirements
Experience, Technical Skills, And Attributes: - 10 - 15 years of engineering design experience
- Graduation from an ABET accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Mechanical.
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Knowledge and experience using computer aided design and drafting, (AutoCAD, MicroStation, REVIT) software and Microsoft Office.
