As a member of the Valve Engineering innovation team, you will hunt opportunities to improve valve performance, reduce costs, reduce manufacturing span, reduce maintenance needs, and apply valve technologies in new ways to solve problems for the fleet. You will use a combination of design, analysis, and testing to rapidly develop these new technologies. You will combine a strong technical foundation with creative inspiration to help Valve Engineering scale up its programmatic impact. If you are looking for a new challenge in the innovation sphere, the Valve Engineering unit is the right place for you!Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part I qualified; or EDO qualified and 2 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or 3 years SRE qualified and Water Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and Fuel and Barrier Shift Supervisor (ECF only); or SRE qualified and 6 years of experience.Preferred SkillsThe following skills and characteristics are not required for this position but are considered nice to have.
