Your Role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer:

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to completion.
  • Meet with clients to assess project feasibility and scope.
  • Develop and communicate conceptual solutions through sketches and brainstorming.
  • Design mechanical components and systems tailored to specific applications.
  • Perform calculations to validate designs and select appropriate parts.
  • Create 3D models using Autodesk Inventor and optimize/validate designs with FEA tools.
  • Produce machining and assembly drawings with accurate tolerances.
  • Assist in fabricating and testing proof-of-concept equipment.
  • Provide limited customer training and field support for new implementations.
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets and schedules.
  • Act as a technical expert in a specialized area (e.g., PLC programming, hydraulics, or data acquisition).
  • Mentor and provide limited management for junior engineers.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing mechanical components and systems.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and FEA tools.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and schedules.
  • Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their design constraints.
  • Ability to create detailed assembly drawings with proper tolerances.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems, including actuators, pumps, valves, and flow measurement devices.
  • Proficiency in reading and creating schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.).
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting test data.
  • Competence in mechanical analysis calculations (e.g., thread stress, pressure drop, power consumption).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in the US & receive domestically controlled information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or progression toward obtaining one (passed FE/EIT exam).
  • Experience with AutoCAD for drafting.
  • Hands-on skills in manual/CNC machining, welding, and fabrication.
  • 3D printing expertise.
  • Capability to fabricate prototype parts and systems with minimal guidance.
  • Experience with PLC programming and automation.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition hardware and software.
