Salary Range: 110k – 125k
- Lead design team responsible for designing Big Girl, Big Boy, Toddler Girl, Toddler Boy, and Baby apparel
- Manage Senior Designers, Associate Designers, and work closely with the Art Director and Artists
- Attend buyer meetings along with sales to present designs and inspiration samples
- Shop the market for the latest and greatest ideas and freshness
- Find the white space, bring big ideas, and create trend driven designs
- Manage the area's workload and project list, ensuring they stay on calendar
- Identify key licenses we want to design into for the season
- Participate in fittings, and handoff meetings with PD, tech and production
- Collaborate with costing to ensure we're creating cost effective designs
- Review tech packs for sampling and production
- Approve lab dips, strikeoffs, fabric qualities and samples
Qualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years experience at a Senior Designer or Merchandiser Level
- Strong working knowledge Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Must have experience designing licensed apparel (ex. Disney, Nickelodeon etc)
- Must be located in NYC or willing to relocate, this position is on site
