Senior Naval Supply Analyst Washington, DC Provide senior level expertise in the contracting, acquisition, transportation, storage, funding, and overall strategy in managing Naval material in nuclear powered warships. Supplement working groups charged with improving the sustainment of VIRGINIA class (VACL) submarines and carrying best practices and lessons learned to the COLUMBIA, SSN(X), and FORD sustainment programs. Work within and lead diverse, cross-functional teams of Navy enterprise and federal contracted personnel in achieving sustainment objectives within the scope of PEO SSN VACL Material Strategy. Design and implement sweeping changes to material acquisition and management within the Navy enterprise including, instituting a bill of material (BOM) framework for capitalizing major equipment in support of Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) nuclear powered warship maintenance availabilities. Leverage supply chain theory and practice to identify constraints and target areas for improvement. Visit key Navy enterprise sites (e.g., Washington Navy Yard, Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg, Naval Shipyards, Defense Logistics Agency - Land and Maritime, et al.) to interface with key stakeholders and accomplish improvement actions for nuclear powered warship sustainment. Participate in executive-level briefings to provide updates to executing actions within the overall VACL Material Strategy. Be self-led and intrinsically motivated to achieve the end state of improving operational availability of nuclear powered warships. Requirements: A post-served Naval Supply Officer with the following experience:
- Served afloat on a submarine or aircraft carrier,
- Served at NAVSEA Headquarters in a product support capacity,
- Served at a field activity, such as a Naval Shipyard in support of submarine or aircraft carrier maintenance, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, or a DLA / NAVSUP field organization,
- Involved in contracting, procurement, and life cycle maintenance of major Naval capital equipment
- Experience in working with NAVSEA 04, NAVSEA 07, NAVSEA 08, NAVSUP, DLA
- Well-versed in supply system management information systems, configuration management systems, supply chain practices, bills of material, Toyota Manufacturing Principles, including LEAN practices
- Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience is a plus
- US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance
