Responsibilities
Responsible for the oversight and integration of the enterprise-wide network including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the Garnet Health LAN/WAN. Assists the Network engineer-specialist with developing and maintaining the technical architecture and recommendations related to the Garnet Health LAN/WAN. Maintains a high level of technical expertise and studies vendor products to determine those that best meet company needs. Coordinate the installation of hardware, software, and networking equipment. Recommends and maintains network security procedures and policies. Must have extensive experience in LAN/WAN/VLAN/, 802.11x, WiFi design, implementation, common routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VPN implementation and maintenance using PPTP, L2TP and IPSEC.
Assists the Network engineer-specialist with implementing and integrating the two-tier and three-tier client/server infrastructure to include a multi-server (500+) WAN/LAN environment. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for all the Network Gear that supports the client/server infrastructure. Maintains server OS patch management demand for all the Unified Communications systems, maintaining server hardware & firmware that supports MS server environment. Assists Data Center Engineer with key VMware projects as well as any other major storage level designs or projects.
Working with the Client Server Team to manage the Domain Controllers, DHCP, WINS, DNS and Microsoft AD strategy for Garnet

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $94,497-118,131 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member's compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
Qualifications
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and either 8 years related experience or 4 years direct; OR 12 years combo: education, work & certification while working towards a bachelor's degree
Desired Certifications: Certifications in Cisco products, CCNP/CCIE Data Centers, Routing and switches, wireless, Network Security, and Voice. CISSP, F5, Palo-Alto
Preferences: Strong Network Routing and Switching, Data Center Routing, Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN administration and support, Microsoft Office 365, Azure Networking, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), F5 Local Traffic Manager, and DNS load balancing
Network- Cisco Routing and Switching, Data Center Overlay Protocols such as OTV, and VXlan.
Security - Palo Alto Firewalls, Remote Access and Site-to-Site VPNs, URL Filtering, Device Certificate Management, Splunk, DUO Mobile 2-FA, F5 Load balancers and associated modules which include LTM, APM, DNS, and WAF, Cisco ISE
Communications- Cisco SAN Fabric Switches Cisco UC (Call Manager, Unity, UCCX)
Working Conditions- This is a fast-paced 24-7 Hospital environment. Evening and weekend work is required from time to time. On-call rotation and some travel required.

May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
