Senior Network Engineer

As a senior member of the Network team, you will be enhancing your skills by contributing to our automation platform, performing tasks on our on-prem and cloud networks. You will hone your network skills on our various vendors and technologies in use.
In this role you will get to:
* Administer, maintain and support of the security, availability, and performance of the network systems - in our cloud and local infrastructure - that include routers, firewalls, switches, circuits, and servers evidencing solid understanding of security, switching, and routing technologies.
* Monitor, analyze and evaluate network performance and ensure system availability and reliability, as well as provide solutions to optimize traffic flows, security, and processes.
* Prioritize and resolve trouble/request tickets including walk-ups and urgent issue resolution.
* Provide Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues and outages.
* Interact with other groups to implement project tasks including progress tracking with minimal oversight to deliver network projects in a timely manner to the business.
* Develop capacity planning models and analyze network capacity issues.
* Create and modify firewall policies with minimal direction.
* Support security audits including PCI as required.
Who you are:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related industry or equivalent training and experience.
* 5+ years of proven hands on network engineering experience with expert ability to work with a variety of network protocols(e.g. BGP, OSPF,IPSEC, HSRP/VRRP, 802.11, MLAG/VPC, MPLS, VPN, STP, MAC-SEC, GRE).
* Successful track record of implementing Firewall Policies, Switching Technologies and DDoS Mitigation, and Packet analysis.
* In-depth understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP.
* Proficiency with scripting or programming languages.
* Experience with Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, GCP Distributed Firewall is a plus.
* Preferred: Networking Certifications - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP) or equivalent and higher.
* Preferred: Cloud/Virtualization Certifications - i.e. Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or equivalent Cloud/Virtualization experience/certification.
* Open to mentor and advise less experienced team members.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.
The salary range for this position is $110,000- $155,000K USD.
