Oversee daily operations of nursing unit or department. Manage nursing staff, including development, mentoring and coaching. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care. Recruit, hire, and onboard nursing staff. Create and monitor schedules and ensuring adequate coverage. Nurse Leader rounding on both patients and team members. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Monitor patient outcomes and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Resource for nursing staff regarding clinical questions and concerns. Manage patient and family complaints or issues, and resolving conflicts as needed. Assist with staff education and training programs. Participate in meetings, committees and other hospital initiatives as required. Keep informed of current trends, research, and best practices in nursing management and healthcare delivery. Risk Management reporting. BSN required.
