Description

The Senior Operations Engineer will be responsible for:

• Drive innovation and strategic planning for processes and technologies.
• Lead critical projects, including capital investments and equipment upgrades.
• Develop and refine production methods using engineering principles and data analysis.
• Enhance efficiency through continuous improvement programs.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to monitor yields and optimize processes.
• Implement and support automated inspection systems.
• Understand customer needs, provide technical sales support, and resolve issues.
• Mentor team members, guiding their development and overseeing work.
• Offer hands-on technical support on the shop floor, including fixture design and implementation.
• Maintain accurate process documentation and troubleshoot quality or cost-related issues.

Profile

The successful Senior Operations Engineer will have what follows:

• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Hands on experience on the floor working with production and equipment processes daily
• Diverse understanding of lean standards and design processes
• Experience in optics, fiber or materials would be a PLUS
