Job Expectations:
- Priority is preaching and teaching preparation and also:
- Ability to build and sustain lasting friendships and relationships within the congregation, including but not limited to: pastoral visitation, counseling as needed (such as premarital and personal spiritual counseling), but is not hesitant to help find further assistance when it is outside of your professional abilities.
- Co-chair the elder board, lead the elder committee, set the board agenda, and meet with the vice chair regularly.
- Help to create the annual church budget with the Finance Team and assist in overseeing budgets.
- Basic administrative skills including, but not limited to: communication with the church, administrative staff, and district staff and computer skills
- Work with administrative staff to maintain relationships with other groups or ministries using our facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified/licensed with the C&MA
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Biblical studies or similar)
- Previous pastoral or ministry experience
- Aged 35-55, preferably married and whose wife is willing to share in church life. She should be free to use her gifts and abilities as she believes God is leading her, whether within or outside the local church.
Church OverviewHope Church has 176 sanctuary seats, an in-sanctuary baptismal, 2 kitchens, and a gymnatorium. We are debt-free. Our weekly Sunday morning services are currently livestreamed onto our Facebook page. Our May 2024 attendance average was 75 people.
