We are looking to hire a key member of our Human Resource team at our Jacksonville, Florida location. The Senior Payroll Coordinator is responsible for overseeing our payroll processes for our internal organization. They will work and provide operational support within our department and service as a back to the Payroll Manager.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Processing the bi-weekly and semi-monthly multi-state payroll that consist of 700+ employees.
- Processing garnishments that are consistent with federal, state, and hourly wage laws..Supporting the continued development of systems, processes, and metrics to identify opportunities to improve
- Building and maintaining knowledge management tools such as wikis and shared drives
- Create management reports for payroll, finance and management team.
- Actively communicate with Finance, local HR and Plant administration to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
- Act as point of contact for all payroll related questions for both employees and HR
- Vendor management and system set-up responsibility for payroll, time and attendance systems.
- Responsible for accurate and timely processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations and other payroll related changes
- Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
- Responsible for accurate financial reporting with regards to the financial impact related to payroll administration (GL postings, accruals, reconciliations etc.) and support internal and external audits (SOX, governmental, etc.)
- Other projects as assigned by management
Required Skills - Minimum of 5 years' Payroll experience
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present clear and well-documented findings and recommendations.

- Proficient Excel Skills
- Experience with Dayforce, UKG, and/or Success Factors preferred
Education, Certifications & Licenses - Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting required
