A Child Welfare Agency in Queens is currently seeking a Sr. Pediatric RN to join their growing Pediatric team. About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 9-5p or 10-6p
- EMR: Accumed
- Patient Population: Newborn to 21
- Patient Volume: 10 patients per day
Responsibilities: The Senior Pediatric Registered Nurse will:
- Conducting assessments, including: HIV risk assessments, intake assessments, general first aid and triage activities.
- Conducting screenings for: substance abuse, developmental health, mental health and physical body checks for abuse
- Providing appropriate physical clearances (e.g. body checks) for routine visits, home transfers, discharges, etc.
- Facilitating patient management of chronic conditions, such as diabetes and asthma; and providing patient and caregiver education.
Qualifications:
- NYS Registered Nurse
- Master's or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual is a plus, not mandatory
- Administrative Experience
- Experience working in child welfare environment is a plus
