ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to join our Public Sector East team. The position is based in the Northeast. Frequent travel (approximately 25%-50%), including overnight stays is required.The Senior Performance Engineer is the primary technical project developer with in the northeast region. As the primary resource for technical expertise, Account Executives and Regional management count on Senior Performance Engineers to be responsible for understanding the technical needs and wants of a customer, then turning that information into accurate concrete solutions. Senior Performance Engineers may deal with technical issues that include but not limited to facility utility-consumption analysis and reduction strategies, general capital improvements, and even large-scale community infrastructure projects.The Senior Performance Engineer is responsible for the technical strategies, the costing of projects, forecasting energy reduction for a given solution if applicable, creating a plan to measure and verify the energy reductions forecasted, presentation of findings and solutions to customers and mangers, and to assist the delivery team to ensure smooth installations and achieve exceptional results for the customer, including assessing key risk elements such as constructability, scope, costs and guarantee.The essential functions of the position include:Conducts in depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within a facility; analyzes utility bills; analyzes financials; meets with contractors and provides technical solutions that are creative, economical, and technically soundFacilitate adequate communication among the internal team, sub-contractors, and customers by creating technical plans both written and schematic to convey solutions and riskPerforms energy savings, calculations, operational savings calculations, life cycle cost analysis and feasibility analysis of recommendations and associated risks; provides an energy analysis and establishes guaranteed savings based on the measures proposedCreates financial models based on the parameters given by the customer and the results of the projects being developedCoordinates with Account Executive and Project Manager to develop and present proposals to customersCoordinates with Project Manager to ensure smooth installation and acts as communication link for technical information between the operations team and the sales teamIdentifies and works with subcontractors and consultants to provide technical analysis and descriptions for project installation and to ensure the quality of work delivered exceeds the requirements of the jobApproves equipment before it is ordered to ensure accurate estimates and on time deliveryEvaluate risk associated with technical feasibility, constructability, scope, costs, and guaranteeMaintains full technical understanding of energy and plant/facility operations and serves as the ongoing technical resource consultant for the customerYour background includes:Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited or equivalent Engineering program10 years' engineering experienceProfessional Engineer license and at least one (1) certification from the following field:CEMCMVPAny LEED CertificationNEBBTABAny ASHRAE CertificationWhat we bring to you:Professional growth and development programs including tuition reimbursementComprehensive health and wellness plans for you and your family401(k) Savings PlanPaid holidays and paid time offHighly competitive salaries and incentive structureWe want you to know:ESG is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
