This position will work to closely with VP of Creative to create compelling media assets for Peter Millar's online, print and social properties. This role is perfect for a creative who can leverage his/her high-level creative photography skills by bring the best of out any situation and conditions to deliver compelling content for the Brand on location or in studio. The Senior Photographer will oversee numerous creative deliverables in a fast-paced environment with an incredibly resourceful and talented in-house team. We are looking for someone who will always go above and beyond, who enjoys their craft and works well with others.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Execute shoot and creative briefs from VP, Creative and Art Directors. Build print and online content assets for special campaigns that highlight priority content in an engaging way. Consistently produce images that are within established studio photo guidelines. Contribute to the creative concepts and location options as well as potential location scouting when appropriate. Work within a cross-functional team with internal clients. Excellent skills in studio and on location content creation and lighting. Serve as creative flex position for the creative team based on priorities and projects; Develop and assist in script creation and editing with other team members. Set, test and revise lighting set up for photo & video shoots. Responsible for equipment and testing. Photo editing to create consistent emotional responses from our customers.COMPETENCIES: Constant learning and reviewing of new media software's and techniques. Understand industry best practices, and also be an out of the box thinker to create new experiences within our brand aesthetic. Can work effectively in a fast paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities. Ability to collaborate successfully with other creative designers, copywriters and department managers. Demonstrate excellent time management and project management skills. Possess operational knowledge of Capture One, the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and Light room. A plus to have knowledge in Premier Pro and After Effects), plus the Microsoft suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from a supervisor to accomplish objectives.DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Degree in Design/Photo/Video/Animation or equivalent experience in a Multi-media role. Have 7+ years of photography experience (preferably in fashion or apparel based creative). Consumer/marketing experience is preferred. Working knowledge of latest technology of digital cameras and lighting.
