Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant - Network Engineer - Cisco ACI Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Architect, design, and deploy Cisco ACI solutions to meet the network infrastructure needs of the organization or clients.
- Configuration Management: Configure ACI fabric, including APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller) configuration, tenant creation, application network profiles (ANP), endpoint groups (EPG), and contracts.
- Network Integration: Integrate ACI with existing network infrastructure, including Layer 2/3 devices, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and other network services.
- Policy Enforcement: Develop and enforce network policies using ACI's policy-driven approach, ensuring security, compliance, and performance.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the health and performance of the ACI environment and troubleshoot issues using tools like APIC, SNMP, Syslog, and third-party monitoring solutions.
- Automation and Scripting: Automate routine tasks using Python, Ansible, or other automation tools compatible with ACI to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all ACI-related configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including security, server, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the ACI environment.
- Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance for the ACI infrastructure.
Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- Experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco ACI.
- Certification: Cisco CCNP Data Center, CCIE Data Center, or equivalent certifications in Cisco ACI.
- Deep understanding of Cisco ACI architecture and components (APIC, Leaf, Spine).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MP-BGP).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Strong communicator - English in spoken and written form
- Advanced Certification: Cisco CCIE Data Center.
- Cloud Integration: Experience with integrating ACI with public clouds (AWS, Azure).
- DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies as they relate to network automation.
- Project Management: Experience managing or leading network infrastructure projects.
The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$80,000 to $1000,000].
