About this Opportunity The Senior Processing Assistant tracks designated children's immunizations by entering all available immunizations data into North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR) for all immunizations given in all clinics and mailing notices to return for current immunizations and past due immunizations. This position also enters all historical immunizations data received from other medical facilities into NCIR to ensure Personal Health personnel has access to current information and sends automated reminder calls to patients that are past due for age appropriate immunizations. The Senior Processing Assistant schedules appointments and sends appointment reminder calls when not entering immunizations data as well as serves as a back-up to front desk switchboard and mailroom duties while working closely with the Registration/Fee & Eligibility Senior Processing Assistants and Public Information Assistant. Must be available to work during emergency situations. Education and Experience Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills and abilities gained through at least 2 years of office assistant/data entry experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Physical Requirements Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 5 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
