Cardinal Health is looking for a versatile product designer and mentor who is excited to craft analytics-focused digital products and services that help real people while supporting your colleagues as a coveted member of the Product Experience organization.
As a Senior Product Experience Designer, you will define, lead, and implement the analytics experience across the Specialty Pharmaceutical Distribution digital product portfolio. You will work on analytical tools and dashboards that combine clinical, financial, and operational data to equip providers more efficient control of their practices' financial performance. These products help monitor drug utilization, claims payment and denials, reimbursement trends, margins, and provide insights to identify revenue cycle management opportunities.

Specialty is a rapidly growing industry that supports the development, distribution, payment, and administration of specialty pharmaceuticals. Key therapeutic areas are Oncology and Rheumatology. Specialty pharmaceuticals are defined as having the following characteristics:
Dispensed to treat individuals with rare or chronic diseases.
Usually much more expensive than traditional drugs ($600+ per month)
Complex treatment regimens, requiring ongoing monitoring and patient education.
May require specialized shipping and have limited product availability and distribution.

Responsibilities:
Ensure a coherent and consistent user experience across reporting and data visualization tools.
Define a design language for visualizing across product touch points.
Establish principles and best practices for data display and reporting.
Discover both quantitative & qualitative insights and translate them into actionable design tasks.
Identify, create, and test assumptions & concepts with low-to-high fidelity prototypes and user flows.
Guide product teams to deeply understand customer/user behavior, pain points, and needs.
Collaborate across multiple functions to deliver an exceptional analytics experience with accurate & easily understood information through reporting/dashboard design and visual storytelling.
Articulate experience challenges & opportunities for your products/concepts and in broader healthcare.
Relentlessly consider the whole system and each detail from the user's perspective.
Explain your design rationale to non-designers and build a shared understanding of the vision.
Understand the business and prioritize what adds the most value for our users/customers.
Model a human-centered approach on your team to deliver better products and strengthen our competitive advantage.
Continuously evaluate and enhance our approach, tools, and implementation of visual analytics and reporting.
Build and nurture relationships with cross-functional partners and internal/external stakeholders.
Demonstrate qualities of transparency, trust, vulnerability, psychological safety, and collaboration.
Qualifications
5-7 years' experience designing digital and physical products/services utilizing a human-centered methodology preferred.
A clear grasp of experience design best practices for digital and real-world touch points
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, reporting, and analytical tools/environments.
IA, journey mapping, blueprinting, and interaction design chops and proficiency with relevant tools.
Proven experience designing modern data visualizations, including appropriate chart/diagram selection.
Experience planning/facilitating/analyzing user research, rapid prototyping, and usability testing.
Exceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skills in service of great storytelling.
Comfort leading and designing within a modern product/service design lifecycle.
An ability to guide team members and stakeholders through a design thinking mindset.
BS/MS degree in human factors, design, psychology, sociology, or relevant experience preferred.
Experience designing in healthcare and/or logistics preferred.
A conversant understanding of strategy, operations, and technology behind healthcare businesses preferred.
A passion for simplifying complex problems and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels preferred.
Proficiency in data visualization of large data volumes for multiple form factors preferred.
A unique blend of technical knowledge and visual design skills preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $79,700 - $119,490
