Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Product Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, development, and management of our entire product portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial valve markets, customer needs, and product development processes to help drive growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy, including new product introductions and portfolio enhancements. Define and manage the product roadmap in alignment with company goals.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the valve industry, especially in target sectors like oil and gas, chemicals, and life sciences.
- Product Development: Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams to define product specifications, ensure alignment with market requirements, and manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Customer Insights & Relationships: Engage with key customers to gather feedback, understand product performance, and ensure the product meets customer expectations. Act as a key liaison between the market and internal teams.
- Sales Support & Training: Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop go-to-market strategies, create product collateral, and deliver product training for internal teams and channel partners.
- Financial Performance: Monitor product line profitability, develop pricing strategies, and work with the finance team to ensure products meet financial targets.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams across multiple departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication to drive product success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of product management experience, preferably within the valve, industrial equipment, or fluid control industry.
- Strong technical understanding of valve products and their applications across industries like oil & gas & water management.
- Proven track record of leading product development initiatives from concept to commercialization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong project management abilities with experience in cross-functional leadership.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with stage-gate or similar product development processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control systems.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
