Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manager all aspects of production
- Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and corporate policies at all times.
- Implement and uphold performance management practices to meet business objectives, includes performance reviews based on measurable KPIs.
- Hire, promote, and develop talent while building a robust succession plan
- Working with direct reports, and colleagues, develop solid and implement solid training plans, SOPs, and monitor and measure.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives directly and through your team.
- Participate in daily morning production/planning meetings.
- Own Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) for quality and safety-related issues within your areas of responsibility.
- Minimize late orders due to manufacturing delays, rejections, and inventory discrepancies.
- Utilize internal resources to address maintenance and facilities-related issues whenever possible.
- Replace annual physical inventory counts with routine cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Develop and maintain departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading a manufacturing team, with a proven track record of managing large groups of hourly workers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel; experience with Batchmetrics or similar MRP systems, and NetSuite.
