Job Description:
The Senior Production Planner will generate planning strategies for customer requirements and forecast. This position will coordinate all activities related to production planning, material requirements and stock control activities.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for production planning activities and the material requirements to ensure timely delivery of products and optimal use of resources.
  • Manage scheduling and production control activities in order to obtain the efficient balance between customer requirements, and available resources considering the available production capacity.
  • Ensures inventory control in all stages (raw material, processed components, finished products, WIP and indirect materials).
  • Responsible to Implement and adjust planning strategies including S&OP/ long term planning.
  • Generates production schedule and resulted work order releases and materials purchase requirements according to MTO and MTS strategy.
  • Generates and communicate the customer order status report for Regions and Order Management department.
  • Design, implement and maintain production planning and inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze planning department performance and make improvements recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within planning activities to reduce lead time and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for inventory control - accuracy and inventory level - as part of the efforts to achieve AOP commitments
  • Support Sales and order management group with the quotation process by providing the lead time according to available capacity.
  • Maintains the accuracy and feasibility of the sales order portfolio by developing a long-term order confirmation system, by adjusting the master production program (MPS) and dealing with exceptions.
  • Analyzes production capacity vs. load and maintain production schedule for short, medium and long term.
  • Follows company compliance requirements.
  • Maintains and improves the quality management system.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position.
  • Good knowledge of ERP system - preferred Oracle / JDE
