*Senior Program Architect**Full-Time 1-Year Contract *(With Possibility for Extensions)*100% Remote *(Located in North Carolina HIGHLY PREFERRED)*Job Overview:*Our government client is seeking a Senior Program Architect to provide essential support for the maintenance, enhancement, and upcoming modernization of their Child Support Services (CSS) applications. This role is critical for ensuring the ongoing functionality and compliance of the existing system while preparing for and driving modernization efforts.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecture management, software upgrades, application maintenance, and database administration in the mainframe and web application environments.*Key Responsibilities:** *Architecture Support & Management:* Lead architecture management and software upgrades, ensuring the Child Support Services (CSS) applications are scalable and meet future needs.* *Application Maintenance:* Provide support for the existing Child Support Services (CSS) mainframe and web applications, with a focus on both enhancement and modernization efforts.* *Database Administration:* Oversee the administration and management of DB2 (Z/OS) databases, ensuring robust performance and security.* *Technical Support:* Provide technical support for CICS, Cobol, Telon, and other mainframe technologies in the CSS applications.* *IRS 1075 Compliance:* Ensure that all CSS applications (both mainframe and web) remain compliant with IRS 1075 requirements, participate in regular IRS reviews, and address any required mitigations.* *Child Support Modernization:* Play a key role in planning and implementing the modernization of child support applications, spanning across both mainframe and web (Java, WebSphere) environments.* *Collaboration:* Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that align with project goals and deadlines.*Required Skills & Experience:** *Architecture Support & Management:* 7+ years of experience in providing architecture support for large-scale applications.* *DB2 (Z/OS) Programming & DBA:* 10+ years of experience in DB2 application programming and administration.* *TELON (Mainframe) Architecture & Programming:* 7+ years of experience with TELON, used for development of CICS/Cobol/DB2 application modules.* *Mainframe Technologies (Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2, Zeke, X/PTR):* 10+ years of experience in mainframe technologies and systems.* *Data Encryption Tools & Technology:* 5+ years of experience working with tools and technologies for data encryption and security.* *Child Support Application Modernization:* 7+ years of experience in planning and implementing modernization projects for child support applications.* *Child Support Business Knowledge:* Strong understanding of the Child Support business, including processes, regulations, and standards.* *Structured System Development Methodologies:* 5+ years of experience with structured system development methodologies, preferably waterfall.* *Web Application Experience (Java, WebSphere):* 5+ years of experience working with web application technologies, including Java and WebSphere.*Preferred Qualifications:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on meeting both business and technical needs.* Experience working within government systems, particularly in human services programs such as child support services.* Familiarity with IRS 1075 compliance and security standards for handling sensitive data.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $90.00 - $95.00 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Monday to FridayExperience:* Java: 5 years (Required)* DB2: 10 years (Required)Location:* North Carolina (Required)Work Location: Remote
