Please contactHuman Resources if you require an accommodation.Hybrid work schedules may be possible based on specific job duties and consistent with ESD policy.*BASIC FUNCTION:Launch and manage the new Global Entrepreneur program under the Division of Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR), as well as oversee the portfolio of state-sponsored accelerators and venture competitions. This will include end-to-end oversight of the statewide programs, including everything from RFP through program oversight through measuring impacts. It will also involve working with and coordination across multiple functions within Empire State Development and its regional offices.WORK PERFORMED:? Launch the Global Entrepreneur program to meet the approved statute and guidelines.? Develop Global Entrepreneur application and review workflow and suite of tools for as digital (paperless), streamlined, scalable and transparent a process as possible.? Oversee the seven existing state-sponsored accelerators and venture competitions, as well as oversee the RFP and selection/award process for new ones as need arises.? Drive consistency and scale across the competitions.? Work with the Executive Director to develop a long-term strategy for the accelerator and venture competition portfolio? Track performance, results and impacts of the Global Entrepreneur and Accelerator/Venture Competition programs through tools and surveys.? Drive continuous improvement of the programs.? Coordinate efforts across Procurement, IT, Loans & Grants and NYSTAR teams to ensure smooth integration and workflow.? Contribute to the development of internal and external communications, collateral, and events promoting the programs and NYSTAR, and with required annual reports.? Represent NYSTAR and ESD at relevant meetings, conferences as directed.? Oversee and undertake special projects or initiatives as needed.?
