The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. DYCD is seeking an accomplished candidate for the position of Senior Program Manager in the OSOW unit. OSOW provides New York City young adults between the ages of 14 and 24 with paid internships and job placement.
Under the supervision of an OSOW Deputy Director, with latitude for independent decision-making, the Senior Program Manager will be responsible for monitoring 10+ contracts and will perform the following duties:
Minimum Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in specific counties.
