Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is currently looking to hire a Senior Project Accountant to join our NE Finance group. This position will ideally sit in Vermont or could be in any of the VHB office locations. Our team collaborates with both public and private clients in various industries such as transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy. Additionally, we work closely with federal, state, and local governments.

Responsibilities

* Preparation and processing of client invoices and contract documents

* Client and sub-consultant contract maintenance

* Assistance with project setup, budgeting and monitoring

* Accounts receivable collection assistance

* Assistance with research & resolution of client questions

Skills and Abilities

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment

* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

* Ability to think critically and problem solve

* Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Management, or equivalent experience

* Direct experience with AEC/Engineering/Construction or similar contracting/invoicing is preferred

* 4+ years of finance/accounting/billing experience required.

* Experience working for an Engineering/Architecture/Construction firm preferred.

* Knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or other similar financial applications a plus
