We work to make the region a great place to live, work, and thrive. What Will I Be Doing? The Senior Project Coordinator coordinates agency-wide communications and outreach projects for different departments, programs, and initiatives. This includes developing communication plans outlining program strategies and tactics, project timelines, and measurable outcomes for multiple program areas. The Senior Project Coordinator has a passion for communications, public relations, marketing, and public outreach plus an exceptional ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. This position requires the senior project coordinator to work closely with all of the communications team members, and is responsible for supervising projects, but this is not a supervisory role. The senior project coordinator supports their peers through collaboration, project management leadership, and teamwork. Oversee all of the communications department's projects from start to finish using an online project management tool (Asana). Collaborate with team members to develop communications and outreach plans that include project timelines and measurable outcomes. Facilitate project kickoff meetings with agency departments to determine the communications department's role and assist team members with developing communications plans and project timelines to complete the work. Meet regularly with each team member to help them execute their workload and identify conflicts that may hinder project success. Lead complex conversations about communications and outreach projects that address varying types of perspectives with different levels of staff, including fellow program managers, directors, and executive leadership. Maintain and enforce the agency's branding and identity using brand standards and guidelines. Develop reports and metrics on communications and outreach projects and activities. Assist with developing, writing, and editing content in AP Style as needed. Support communications leadership with departmental operations and budget, especially as it relates to managing project charge codes. Attend agency public meetings, events, and relevant professional networking events to represent the communications team or agency. Key Qualifications Thorough knowledge and understanding of communications/marketing strategies and tactics. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communications and outreach plans. Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence and diplomacy to delegate work to colleagues in the communications department. Extraordinary problem-solver that thrives in the details and is incredibly organized. Leads by taking initiative and identifying inefficiencies within the department's work processes and provides solutions to management team. Knowledge of the Associated Press Stylebook. Do you have... A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study At least five years of experience in the communications industry Project management experience is a plus
