A DAY IN THE LIFE- Manages the transition from project award to final design. Manages 3rd party engineering firms, processes, and standards to ensure the company achieves reliable, quality, and safe designs, as well as works with Blattner internal engineering, and serves as the project lead in all aspects of project design.
- Leads the design process through IFC design and serves as the Company representative with the Owner during design phase.
- Aligns and works with the construction management team to ensure they have the design plans, quantities, and parameters to build the work.
- Design work to be primarily engaged but not limited to energy storage systems, underground collection systems, substations, SCADA/communication systems, transmission lines, and solar/PV arrays.
- Provides training and mentorship for project and technical personnel.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related degree from an ABET accredited college.
- At minimum, the candidate will hold an Engineer-In-Training (EIT or FE) certificate with potential to become a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in 6 months preferred.
- Four or more years of progressive engineering, engineering supervisory, and/or construction related experience in a related industry (i.e., heavy civil, industrial, utilities, power generation) required.
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART- Project Engineering experience on renewable energy projects (Wind, Solar, or BESS).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred, with an emphasis on construction and electrical engineering.
