We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our organization, you will lead transportation design projects from concept to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality and cost-effective solutions.Position ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership:Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept development through to construction and project closeout.Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring the successful execution of transportation design projects.Design Expertise:Utilize your expertise in transportation design to develop creative and efficient solutions for roadway, bridge, and infrastructure projects.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes.Client Collaboration:Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations to deliver solutions that exceed their requirements.Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing regular project updates.Team Development:Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing guidance on technical skills and project management best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all transportation designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.Work closely with regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals and permits for transportation projects.Budget and Schedule Management:Manage project budgets and schedules effectively, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.Skills/Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation design, with a focus on roadway and infrastructure projects.Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D.Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.Estimated Compensation Range: $97,760-$120,640/year*Learn about our comprehensive Benefits ( compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.WHO WE ARE: C&S Companies is a national planning, design, and construction firm with more than 600 employees and growing.
