Senior Project Manager – Data Center Construction

Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the construction of cutting-edge data centers in Columbus, OH. This role is a full-time, on-site position requiring a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of construction management, particularly in mission-critical environments like data centers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure alignment with design specifications, regulatory standards, and client requirements.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, engineers, and architects.
- Foster collaboration among stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress, risks, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address challenges to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and company expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance.
- Financial Oversight:
- Track and control project costs to maintain budget integrity.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and vendor contracts.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years focused on data center or mission-critical facilities.
- Proven ability to manage projects exceeding $50 million in scope.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
- Expertise in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications:
- PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
