Job Description Please note that this posting is for a Senior Project Manager role which requires expertise in Data analytics, as well as programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SAS. This is NOT a general Project Manager role. This is a full-time, Non-Represented role. The salary grade for this posting is 4028. The salary range is $86,025 to $111,454. Please note that the final salary will be determined by our Classification and Compensation team after reviewing the candidate's experience and considering our internal salary equity. Job Summary: This is administrative and managerial project work, overseeing all components of Evaluation, Research, and Accountability projects and initiatives, inclusive of project scope preparation, return on investment (ROI) analysis, financial projection, project and life cycle implementation, staffing coordination and/or management, contract administration, and budget oversight. Employees in this class are responsible for facilitating dialogue between internal customers, technology staff, developers, vendors, external agencies, schools and community partners. Work involves meetings with clients to discuss their needs and documenting business rules for various projects and/or identifying and implementing professional learning with central offices, schools and community partners. Serves as a point of contact for clients with projects in progress. Work additionally involves formally employing industry-recognized projects management principles, techniques, and best practices, to develop, monitor, report, and coordinate all aspects of a project from inception to post-implementation support. Ensures that actions are strategic and include a plan on the evaluation of progress. Project oversight activities may additionally include coordination of support activities inclusive of training, outreach, and customer relationship management. Ensures that data pertaining to programmatic activities is systematically collected, reviewed and analyzed. Projects in this class are classified as large and complex enterprise-wide information service, application software, technology infrastructure initiatives or administrative educational initiatives characterized by multi-year life cycles. Essential Functions All Specialties: •Develops strategies for appropriate scopes of work. •Participates or directs contract negotiation and/or preparation. •Plans and manages timelines, and monitors progress of various projects and work streams; provides progress updates to project leads. •Works with selected teams on specific aspects of meeting project goals in a timely manner. •Prepares, manages, audits, and maintains direct responsibly for project budgets. •Prepares reports related to project status and projections. •Directly supervises project or department staff as required. •Develops and builds good communications and relationships between Evaluation, Research & Accountability and central offices and schools. •Participates in confidential and/or sensitive matters and/or projects at every level of the enterprise. •Works with in setting priorities for the completion of requested services. •Participates in organizational planning within Facilities, Transportation, Information Technology, Teacher Effectiveness, the Chief Academic Support Office or the Office of College and Career Readiness and other departmental offices. •Assists in various Facilities, Transportation, Information Technology, Teacher Effectiveness, Chief Academic Support Office or the Office of College and Career Readiness projects when needed. •Supports all administrative and managerial project work related to the development and implementation of the Equity Coalition and Equity Partners Fellowship. Additional Functions for the Evaluation, Research, and Accountability Specialty: •Leads specialized research efforts. •Monitors programs, projects, and evaluations for satisfactory progress and compliance with grant requirements, proposing solutions for complex problems. •Collects and manages a wide range of program implementation and outcome data. •Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and report on evaluation, research, and data-related activities. •Gathers, and translates user stories into business and technical requirements for end products. •Manage project teams, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure high-quality deliverables. •Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data stewards, and members of the Data Governance Council (DGC) to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. •Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations. •Schedule and facilitate regular council meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and upcoming initiatives. •Track the progress of data governance initiatives and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to the council. •Help facilitate decision-making processes within the Data Governance Council (DGC), ensuring that decisions are aligned with district goals, objectives, and board guardrails. •Plan, monitor, and manage the implementation of data standards, policies, and procedures in collaboration with data stewards. •Work with data stewards to monitor and improve data quality, addressing any issues that arise. •Foster collaboration between data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders to address data governance challenges. •Allocate resources effectively to ensure the successful execution of data governance projects. •Manage a unified reporting framework to track the progress of data governance and stewardship activities, roadmap, and timelines. •Lead and manage analytics projects from conception to completion. •Coordinates with cross-functional teams, overseeing project execution, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality analytics solutions that drive data-driven decision-making within the district. •Coordinate with data analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with district goals. •Manage expectations and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and outcomes. •Oversee the execution of analytics projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines. •Monitor project performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. •Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and issue logs. •Prepare and present regular reports on project status, metrics, and outcomes. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Evaluation, Research, & Accountability Specialty: •Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with focus in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration. •Six years of full-time, paid, professional, experience in experience managing complex projects, preferably in analytics or a related field. OR •Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Demonstrated knowledge of: o The procedures and methods utilized to implement systemic change in a timely, accurate, and effective manner. o Asana Project Management, FileMaker Pro Advanced, Excel or Microsoft Project, Vision and/or other productivity and scheduling tools. Demonstrated ability to: o Manage large or complex projects and/or budgets. o Plan, organize, and direct project activities and allocate staff resources to tasks efficiently. o Analyze and resolve complex problems. o Represent a superior at meetings and conferences. o Present ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
