We are proud to be partnered with Commercial General Contractor on the lookout for a Project Manager to lead the safety, quality, execution, and financial success of construction projects, from the budget phase through to project closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, safety management, quality control, and client relationship management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Preconstruction team to define project scope, prepare estimates, and manage procurement.
- Work closely with Field Supervision and Project Management teams to prioritize tasks and ensure every project meets safety and quality standards.
- Build and maintain client relationships by addressing and exceeding their expectations.
- Prepare project estimates, conduct value engineering, and manage budget development.
- Lead the subcontractor bidding process, ensuring all documentation is properly distributed, processed, and tracked.
- Use project management software to process, organize, and maintain project documentation.
- Negotiate and manage contracts for subcontractors and materials procurement.
- Develop project schedules and oversee timelines.
- Coordinate ongoing projects, including subcontractor management, conflict resolution, and documentation maintenance.
- Monitor and control project costs by evaluating labor, materials, and equipment; regularly forecast and assess costs, risks, and profitability through project completion.
- Ensure smooth project closeout procedures.
- Effectively manage projects with budgets of $15 million or more.
Leadership & Business Development:
- Lead by building strong relationships, motivating the team, providing clear guidance, and encouraging teamwork.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Mentor and provide training to junior team members.
- Engage with clients and prospects to explore and pursue new business opportunities.
- Participate in client presentations and project interviews.
- Negotiate contracts and secure new projects.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction or a related technical field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in sectors such as healthcare, education, industrial, and manufacturing -- preferably healthcare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
