Job Purpose This role is based out of our NYC Hub, and you'll be the face of the Delivery & Business Operations Team in this office. You'll be expected to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in New York, including the Global President, CTO and Marketing SVP, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced/dynamic environment on a range of special projects / tactical initiatives with minimal fuss . You'll need to build relationships across business functions and act as the glue to get stuff done . We're growing fast, have an exciting roadmap to deliver and you'll be at the forefront of this. We are looking for someone that is super smart, with ability to quickly get up to speed and make a real impact. Whilst this is a projects role the successful candidate is likely to have longer term aspirations to grow within the company and in time move into more of a General Management type role. Responsibilities and desired skills:
  • You'll have gravitas and be comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, up to and including the Global President.
  • You'll be expert at delivering projects in partnership with senior stakeholders. You'll shape projects, plan, clear issues, anticipate bottle necks and work with vendors to ensure delivery to time, quality, and budget. You go the extra mile to get the project over the line.
  • You'll be a great communicator and be able to talk tech jargon free. Building awesome relationships with your stakeholders is second nature to you.
  • You'll have the self-awareness to know when to join the dots with the London hub and when it is ok to just run with things in New York.
  • You'll lead with kindness, have appreciation of different styles and display a significant EQ as well as IQ.
  • You'll be comfortable working on projects clearly defined or be happy with a more generic business problem and working through this. You'll embrace working in a constantly evolving environment, proactively adapting to changing priorities and challenges.
  • You'll be a confident leader, who collaborates with team members with humility and emotional intelligence. You're pragmatic, work through issues logically and seek a diversity of opinions to solve problems.
  • You'll co-ordinate with cross-functional team members to make sure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. You'll work with teams including tech / product, marketing, strategy/business development, data/insight and editorial.
  • You'll be flexible and happy with working outside of your comfort zone on projects to meet business need.
  • You'll be a driven self-starter, who is naturally collaborative, comfortable adapting to change and learning quickly in a dynamic organisation.
  • You'll be a positive member of our small but growing team, muck in, be energetic and support your fellow team members. This role will best suit an individual who is motivated by change.
  • You'll help bring control and innovation to our delivery process, ensuring we continue to optimise ways of working. Building a learning culture is super important to us and it is essential we learn from each launch, getting more streamlined every time.

  • You'll be comfortable with travelling on an ad-hoc basis to our London hub.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal - with excellent attention to detail. The quality of materials for your project meetings is first class.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with global dispersed teams and making this a success on an ongoing basis desirable.
  • Strong Project, Stakeholder & Programme management skills, with experience working with vendors a plus.
  • Experience working closely with agile Product teams, leading, and managing major projects concurrently. You understand what it takes to lead projects and manage business stakeholders.
  • SVOD experience desirable but not a core requirement for the right candidate.
  • Commercial acumen, highly numerate with experience managing budgets.
  • Management Consultancy experience and MBA from top business school significant plus.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence desirable but not a core requirement for the right candidate.
