This role reports to the Project Executive and involves close collaboration with the operations team, interacting with staff at all levels. The ideal candidate must be resourceful, proactive, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position is based in Austin, Texas. Job Title Senior Project Manager Overview: The Senior Project Manager is fully accountable for the financial performance and overall management direction of one or more multi-million-dollar heavy civil construction projects. This role has authority over major decisions related to project planning and implementation. Duties and Responsibilities Frequent travel around Texas; residence can be anywhere in the Texas region. - Plan and formulate civil construction projects according to requirements and engineering standards. - Ensure overall project quality control, including compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. - Prepare analytical reports for upper management. - Collaborate with field management to resolve issues between project plans and site execution. - Approve equipment, personnel changes, and requisitions submitted by superintendents. - Execute final authority over issue resolution related to project planning and implementation. - Conduct and document ongoing financial projections of project performance. Submit accurate, timely cost and income projections and payment requests. - Ensure incident and injury-free protocols are followed, and safety culture is instilled at all levels. - Act as a liaison and point of contact for multiple governmental agencies, the company, and subcontractors. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or another Technical Field or equivalent experience. - Professional licenses, certifications, and contractor's licenses. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering and project management. Demonstrated experience in Heavy Civil Construction, with a focus on water projects. Specific experience with wastewater treatment plant projects is required. Strong computer skills, including Primavera, Viewpoint, HCSS Heavy Bid, and P6.30-hour OSHA construction safety course within the last five years or equivalent training. The ability to form and foster collaborative relationships within the business and externally. Physical Requirements: The ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully according to ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. The ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance according to ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
