Job Description:
Position Title: Project Manager (Senior) Location: Remote with occasional travel to Washington, DC Position Overview: Marathon TS is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our elite team of low-code aficionados. As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the modernization of a portfolio of applications using primarily Microsoft PowerApps technology. Your PM and leadership expertise will be crucial with capturing business requirements, schedule management, risk mitigation and delivering project updates to management and stakeholders, all while embracing the Agile mindset to foster innovation and rapid adaptation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning, execution and completion of FMCSA's application portfolio modernization.
  • Work with the FMCSA COR with monitoring the project performance against the performance standards for each of the appropriate task areas.
  • Provide input to the overarching performance standards such as Deliverable Submission Timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding the specific technical aspects as it relates to each respective task area, and to document and communicate this input to the COR on a monthly basis, or more frequently as necessary.
  • Develop a Quality Control Plan and implement a Performance Management System with processes to assess and report its performance to the designated government representative.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met and roadblocks are mitigated.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree. An associate degree with an extra three or more years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of planning executing IT projects, with at least 5 years managing software development projects.
  • An Agile certification is required. PMP certification is a plus.

  • Reporting project health and status to management and business stakeholders (Dashboards are a plus)
  • Microsoft suite of tools (Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills to work seamlessly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a Federal environment, preferably Department of Transportation
