Position: Senior Project Manager

Compensation: $90,000-$125,000 (based on experience)

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee and manage environmental service projects. This role requires a strong background in project management within the environmental, industrial, or energy sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects while ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations, are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

What You Will Do

* Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and budget, to ensure successful project execution.

* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and environmental compliance, to ensure project alignment with company objectives.

* Lead project kickoff meetings and maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns.

* Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.

* Manage permits, regulatory submissions, and environmental impact assessments as required for each project.

* Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance, assess environmental risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

* Communicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and internal stakeholders through regular reports and meetings.

* Manage client expectations and negotiate scope changes, ensuring any modifications are documented and approved.

* Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

* Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and manage project financials to ensure profitability.

* Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as necessary to keep projects on track.

* Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.

* Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

* Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure all deliverables meet company standards and client expectations.

* Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

Safety

* Ensure safety checklists, inspections and toolboxes are completed as required.

* Ensure conformance of all federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.

* Understand, provide leadership, and communicate safety goals and objectives.

* Orient, train, and coach all team members on safety requirements, ensure safety compliance and take appropriate action to address safety violations.

* Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment complying with company and OSHA standards and perform monthly safety inspections, as assigned.

* Follow company policies to report and investigate all incidents and near-miss incidents.

* Perform root cause analysis and address performance and related discipline issues, as appropriate.

What You Will Need

* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related field.

* 5+ years of experience in environmental project management.

* Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes related to solar energy.

* Proven experience in managing complex projects from inception to completion.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in project management software and tools.

* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

* Preferred Qualifications:

* PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred.
