Job Description:

Our client, a leading developer specializing in stick frame multifamily housing projects are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join their dynamic team and lead the successful execution of their projects.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of multifamily residential projects from inception through to final delivery. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, architects, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget. Identify project milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including junior project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Oversee project budgets, manage financial forecasts, and ensure cost control. Approve expenditures and review invoices for accuracy.
  • Scheduling: Create and maintain project schedules, coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the required standards and complies with local building codes and regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other stakeholders. Provide regular project updates and address any concerns or changes in project scope.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address and resolve issues as they arise to minimize impact on project outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and meeting minutes. Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management within the multifamily residential construction industry, with a focus on stick frame construction.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Builder trend) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of stick frame construction techniques, building codes, and regulations. Familiarity with sustainability practices and green building standards is a plus.
