About the position: The Senior Project Manager oversees and is accountable for:

  • Coordinating materials and equipment procurement and expediting
  • Preparing permit applications
  • Obtaining all necessary permits and licenses
  • Directing, coordinating, and monitoring the activities of construction workers on a construction site to ensure specifications are met.
  • Facilitating the RFI process
  • Directing and monitoring compliance with all codes and regulations
  • Mitigating issues and recovery of critical path
  • Ensuring proper documentation and communication of project status
  • Overseeing the close-out process
  • Payment collection
  • Supporting the identification and pursuit of new business development opportunities
  • Maintaining positive client relationships to leverage future repeat business.

What you need: To be a champion of success, the Senior Project Manager must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (i.e. civil, architectural or construction), construction management or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Relevant experience supporting $30+ million projects from conception to completion in diverse commercial market sectors including High-Rise, Multifamily/Student Housing, Senior Living, Large Box Industrial and Hospitality.
  • Prior conceptual estimating and bidding experience with emphasis in commercial construction is preferred.
  • General knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
  • Ability to understand and solve complex challenges to present alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including Procore, Microsoft Office suite, and SharePoint.
