Project Manager - Field Services Contract
Supporting Columbia Station Project
* Complete all aspects of initiating and planning processes including authoring charters and project management plans which include developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines, as well as risk and stakeholder registers.
* Based on project management plans, follow department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work. Manage all aspects of projects including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders. Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process. Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status. Develop or oversee project records in standard databases, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation internally and externally.
* Properly close projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools. Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance for future work. Use interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with team, customer, and other stakeholders (e.g., internal management) to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.
* Identify, assess, and implement improvement or recovery opportunities that will promote successful project delivery.
Min Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or recognized equivalent is required - minimum.
* PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (minimum) - MBA or nuclear industry experience is a plus
* Experience using Primavera and SAP A minimum of 10 years in project management-minimum (Project Management experience managing large, complex, engineering or technical projects). PMO experience is a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and set up a project with regard to the budget and schedule and project plan using the project management tools available within GPEx
* Experience with risk management tools and processes in evaluating a project's risks and implementation of associated mitigation techniques
* Demonstrated troubleshooting ability to identify issues, assess alternatives and risks, and implement solutions while keeping overall project on track
* Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal organizations as well as external divisions in the successful delivery of projects
* Demonstrated leadership skills in forming high performance teams and directing them in achieving assigned goals and objectives.
* Strong interpersonal skills, such as effective verbal and written communications; ability to lead team members; ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned, with minimal guidance.
