Job Description:

Are you a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager with a passion for driving projects to success? At UCB, we're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) initiatives. You'll work with cross-functional teams to implement and efficiently execute all project initiatives, providing portfolio-level support for internal projects and collaborating with senior management on complex, strategic projects.

What You'll Do:

* Lead and Inspire: Assist stakeholders with business cases and project requests. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Assemble project plans, direct and monitor work efforts, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and escalate issues as needed. Track key project milestones and adjust plans/resources to meet stakeholder needs. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects.

* Communicate and Report: Effectively communicate project expectations and status to team members and stakeholders. Deliver engaging, informative presentations. Send system-generated and custom-developed reports with analytical observations to program participants. Support the Director of PMO with reporting functions and other directives.

* Collaborate and Build Relationships: Partner with various departments including Accounting, IT, HR, and Operational teams. Build and maintain relationships with business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.

* Train and Develop: Develop and conduct training on project management processes for staff. Promote greater transparency, predictability, and accountability for all projects across UCB.

* Manage Risks: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans. Minimize exposure and risk on projects. Apply PMO methodology and enforce project standards.

* Ensure Compliance: Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training. Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

* 4-6 years of experience in a banking or professional services organization.

* Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

* Experience leading, motivating, and managing project teams.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.

* PMP certification required.

Required Skills:

* Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and goal-oriented skills.

* Excellent communication (written and verbal), organization, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.

* Ability to think creatively, analytically, and strategically.

* Strong judgment and ability to make well-reasoned independent decisions.

* In-depth experience with SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, and Waterfall.

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.

* Leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills.

Preferred Skills:

* Ability to develop and execute business strategies.

* Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

* Experience in working with Legal on vendor contracts.

* Ability to simplify complex material for diverse audiences.
