Salary: $95/hr - $103/hr

Location: Onsite in Los Alamos, NM

Citizenship: US citizenship Required

Work Schedule: 9/80s

Clearance: Ability to acquire a Q clearance

Per Diem/Relocation: Approved

Impact

The Construction Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by managing budgets, schedules, and performance while maintaining high safety, quality, and compliance standards. This position directly impacts project outcomes by leading cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of designated construction projects to meet contract performance requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) in a technical project environment.
  • Manage construction project scope, schedule, and budget using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and baseline reports.
  • Oversee procurement, engineering, construction activities, and interdependencies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects with formal EVMS processes.
