Title: Senior Project ManagerLocation: Elizabeth City, NCPosition Status: Full Time Work Schedule: Regular hours are Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Employees may need to adjust work hours during surge situations.Pending Contract AwardBrief Job Description: The Senior Project Manager / On-Site Supervisor is the primary liaison for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) in Elizabeth City, NC, providing centralized logistics support for aviation missions. The ALC conducts depot-level maintenance (DLM) on USCG aircraft, requiring Aircraft Maintenance Services (AMS) for aircraft, components, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Aircraft Life Support Equipment (ALSE), and related parts.This role manages daily DLM operations in alignment with the Statement of Work (SOW) and ensures the timely availability of weapon systems. The Senior Project Manager oversees technical and administrative activities, ensuring Contractor Maintenance Services (CMS) meet or exceed performance standards. They provide expert guidance on technical and logistical matters and coordinate maintenance efforts per USCG directives. The Senior Project Manager oversees maintenance operations, manages personnel, resolves issues, and ensures contract compliance.Responsibilities
  • Act as the Contractor's primary authority for daily contract operations.
  • Allocate resources to support the Navy Conversion Project efficiently.
  • Track and maintain accurate data for overtime and regular working hours for projects.
  • Oversee staff to ensure timely completion of Navy Conversion aircraft.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable ALC instructions and policies.
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate contract activities for successful implementation.
  • Supervise staff, address personnel issues, assign tasks, and set priorities.
  • Communicate with Government officials on task status and issues.
  • Submit daily attendance reports within one hour of shift start.
  • Ensure completion of new hire orientations and ALC familiarization tours.
  • Manage financial and staffing resources effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data, reporting results to the Government.
  • Ensure employees complete all mandatory training.
  • Review and validate employee timesheets.
  • Performs other tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory position.
  • Shall have ten (10) years' experience and knowledge of aircraft overhaul trades and labor work.
  • Shall possess a working knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • Must have strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Must be detail oriented with good analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks independently
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must have attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior at all times when dealing with co-workers, customers, and all levels of management
  • Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are Required
Physical Requirements:Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to: bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift, move, and transport items frequently over 10 pounds.Work Environment:Generally, work is conducted in an inside office environment, but may also involve some outside work depending on the task. The inside environment may be in an office or cubicle with close quarters, low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting.
