Job Title: Senior Project Manager, Relocation/Furniture
The Senior Project Manager, Relocation/Furniture is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a large, complex relocation and furniture projects. This role involves developing and managing the relocation and furniture scope of work including procurement packages, vendor selections, managing pre-order entry activities, coordinating furniture installations, move coordination, installation and move execution and providing excellent customer service to clients. The Senior Project Manager, Relocation/Furniture will lead relocation and furniture projects and collaborate with stakeholders to successfully execute the project scope within budget and schedule constraints.
What This Job Involves:
* Lead and manage a large, complex relocation and furniture projects independently over 50,000 RSF where multiple phases may occur.
* Coordinate activities with project management team, architect, client, furniture dealer, and all involved parties.
* Develop and maintain project documentation, including furniture Scopes of Work (SOW), procurement packages (in coordination with internal or external design team), project plans, budgets, and schedules.
* Develop and implement the master relocation plan which includes the detailed transition budget and schedule
* Plan, organize, and execute moves and relocations for clients.
* Coordinate and manage relocation communications and change management plans
* Incorporate best practices and industry standards into relocation and furniture management processes.
* Ensure compliance with client requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns related to the relocation and furniture.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including project management, and construction, to facilitate successful furniture installation and project relocations.
* Develop procurement packages, oversee vendor selection, order entry, and management for furniture-related services.
* Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review project progress and address any issues or concerns.
* Incorporate best practices and industry standards into move processes.
What your Day-to-Day will look like:
Relocation Projects
* Oversee move activities and ensure compliance.
* Maintain project documentation and manage financials.
* Handle client move requests and serve as the main point of contact.
* Coordinate with stakeholders and conduct project kick-off meetings.
* Develop and implement move project plans and budgets.
* Procure move labor and manage suppliers.
* Administer the CAFM system and ensure data accuracy.
* Coordinate relocations and resolve post-move issues
* Support team lead business development efforts
Furniture Projects
* Plan and organize furniture scope, including creating furniture SOWs, procurement packages (in coordination with internal or external design team), budgets, and schedules.
* Coordinate activities with project management team, architect, client, furniture dealer and all involved parties.
* Develop and maintain project documentation, such as furniture open items log, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Review final furniture dealer design deliverables and furniture Bill of Materials (BOM) for accuracy
* Ensure compliance with client requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns related to furniture.
* Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate and align furniture scope and installation activities with overall project plans and schedule.
* Develop furniture procurement package, oversee vendor selection, and order entry, ensuring quality and cost-effective services.
* Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review open furniture design items, project progress and address any issues.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, interior design, or communications.
* 8-10years of practical experience in a similar role, preferably within the corporate real estate industry such as an A/D firm (in design project management role) or furniture dealership.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a project.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
* Knowledge of furniture management best practices and industry standards related to specifications and technical coordination of furniture.
* Familiarity with architectural drawings, furniture, and space planning concepts.
* Flexibility with work hours and willingness to travel as needed.
* Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Project management certification (PMP) or NCIDQ certification preferred
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead
* Ability to travel for projects with some off-hours site activity, per project requirements
* Understanding of construction processes and the commercial real estate industry
Estimated total compensation for this position:
130,000.00 - 180,000.00 USD per year
The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
