Job Summary:The Single Family supply chain team is seeking a project manager to complete all program process requirements, stand up 2 phases of the initiative, as well as ongoing management of incoming projects requiring contracting and progressive hands on management.This position will support the Single Family Residential team, specifically the Suppy Chain team with further development, implementation and ongoing management of a new initiative called Business Consulting and Mentoring for Contractors.
- Key tasks of this position will include leading the day to day development and implementation of all phases of the initiative, including:
- Ensure initiatives are built such that they: are easy-to-use and responsive to customers and partners; have effective go-to market strategies; are aligned with market actor value propositions, achieve intended outcomes; maintain operational flexibility;
- Manage program budgets and provide data and performance reporting for internal and external partners;
- Respond to general program questions from participating contractors and customers, obtaining final approval and consensus for all aspects of the initiative with cross functional teams (Multifamily team, Single Family team, and senior management;
- Draft written communications (emails and letters) to program participants;
- Support the tracking of metrics and reporting on accomplishments;
- Update and maintain electronic files;
- Help to create and maintain program documents, such as standard operating procedures;
- Collect project details from various NYSERDA systems (training to be provided); and
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the single family residential team
Required skills include:
- Minimum Associates Degree in environmental studies, business management or related field, experience working with contractor/installers a plus
- 7-10 years of experience of relevant project management experience
- Knowledge of building science with a focus on single family existing homes knowledge
- Experience working directly with residential building trades
- Understanding of the residential home performance supply chain, especially understanding contractor/installer audience and its current technical and business challenges, and work force constraints
- Additional preference for education, background or experience in one or more aspects of business management or business development such as marketing, lead generation, operations management, sales, finances, strategic planning, or leadership, preferably in residential building
- trades and/or home energy efficiency industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with various stakeholders - customers, contractors, implementation contractors, business consultants, etc.
- Excellent project planning and management, budget management, and organizational skills
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to effectively track multiple projects at various stages
- Strategic planning and execution skills
- Ability to work independently and with teams (cross functionally and with senior management)
- Strong work ethic and integrity
Compensation:This is a full-time position as a Salas O'Brien employee working remotely. Benefits include a health insurance plan, a 401K profit sharing plan, and PTO. The position offers competitive compensation with an anticipated annual salary range of $100,000 to $110,000, based on candidate experience.
