The Opportunity:

RS&H is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in our Raleigh, NC office!

As part of the infrastructure team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by overseeing all aspects of project execution to drive quality outcomes for the project and the business. This includes providing direction to project teams to ensure key milestones and project initiatives are achieved; introducing efficiencies into the delivery process; collaborating with project team and technical experts to understand technical platform and decisions that will deliver business value with an understanding of trade-offs; managing strong stakeholder relationships and developing and sustaining strong working relationships with clients, project teams, technical experts, peers, and vendors; coordinating and leading integration programs with third party vendors to develop complete solution offerings for our customers; monitoring the program and related projects throughout their phases; tracking key project milestones, requirements, and deliverables to ensure all are completed within the timeframe established; creating, maintaining, and supporting adherence to schedules; gathering information to make data driven decisions; and serving as a resource and mentor for junior program managers, project team members, and others.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in from an accredited program and 20 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have advanced proficiency in all aspects of project management. PE and/or PMP strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Express Lanes projects, Alternative Delivery Projects, NCDOT standards and procedures;
  • Knowledge and experience in all phases of projects including development, permitting, preliminary design, final design, procurement, and construction.
  • Additional knowledge of utility coordination and right of way acquisition is a plus.
  • Have proven background and ability to make decisions that have significant impact to an organization, as well as recommend operational strategies and plans with direct impact on results.
  • Be recognized as a thought leader in the industry and have experience leading the development and implementation of new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans with significant impact on the achievement of results and previous experience making decisions and recommendations that have a long-term impact (3 to 5 years) on the organization.
  • Have the proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with senior leadership on matters of strategic importance.
  • Have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
