Under the supervision of the Director of Housing Programs the Senior Property Manager will be responsible for the overall supervision of the property managers and initial lease-up of new housing developments. This position will also work with the Director to carry out the agency policies and procedures in accordance with applicable rules and regulations as established by HUD, Regulatory Agreements, Maine Housing, IRS regulations for the LIHTC program and other pertinent loan or regulatory documents and contracts negotiated by South Portland Housing Authority. They will also serve as a resource, supervisor and trainer to property management and occupancy team members as well as an additional liaison to the Administrative, Housing Choice Voucher, Finance, Supportive Services and Maintenance Departments. Requirements This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 - 5 years of proven success in the field of housing or property management along with 2-3 prior years in a supervisory role. Certified Occupancy Specialist and LIHTC Certification required: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven skills to coach, collaborate and influence staff. Have the ability to develop, prepare and present financial reports and analyses and be organized with attention to detail, meet deadlines and work with frequent interruption.
