Job Description:
The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for fulfilling the role of Manufacturing Quality expert; this is a hands-on position. Ensure the quality of the parts produced at VGT/ATI meet all customer expectations; quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found. Maintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standards.

What You'll Do

  • Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques

  • Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerancing, and materials related issues.

  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.

  • Effectively communicate and reinforce Res' commitment to quality improvement efforts

  • Determine and apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools.

  • Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.

  • Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup

  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.

  • Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes. Review and analyze results. Recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.

  • Develop manufacturing and quality workmanship standards and inspection criteria for fabricated and purchased parts, sub-assemblies, player terminals and other shippable products.

  • Design and modify floor layout, equipment, workflow and processes to optimize the utilization of facilities, equipment, and manpower.

  • Develop and implement improved tests for components, sub-assemblies and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and operating requirements.

  • Lead/Assist efforts to achieve and maintain certification for UL and other safety standards for Tulsa's manufacturing facility. Ensure that products built at VGT are compliant to UL and other regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and analyze reports to measure and improve efficiency and quality, and to identify problem areas that need more focus.

  • Define and justify capital equipment requirements for VGT Tulsa's manufacturing operations.

  • Be a proactive member of VGT's Tulsa management team, supporting organizational goals and objectives, operational projects, and strategic initiatives.

  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license (similar requirements to security clearance)

What We're Looking For

  • A BS degree in Engineering or a technical field (or equivalent) is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering experience is required

  • Must be proficient in industry workmanship standards, inspection techniques, process controls and quality systems.

  • Proficient in electronic circuits and components (AC/DC circuits), troubleshooting, and standard industry workmanship practices is required

  • Basic knowledge of PC hardware and networking is required

  • Knowledge of the casino gaming industry is preferred

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, ISO required

  • Familiarity with good ESD practices is preferred

  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude (i.e. intuitive understanding of mechanical processes) preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with CAD/CAM applications is preferred.

  • Must be able to read and interpret part drawing and specifications

  • The following certifications are desirable, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Pay Range$98,183 - $182,340 per year

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
