Position Purpose/Summary: This position is the day-to-day liaison between customers and our R&D team to support the development of compliant and safe formulations. Responsible for managing, communicating and allocating time-based resources for all our customer's regulatory projects. customers' regulatory projects to meet expected timelines. This role ensures compliance with domestic and international regulations involving the formulation, manufacturing and labeling of personal care and cosmetic products.

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities

Education:

BA or BS Degree in Science related field (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology) or related field.

Master's degree-preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs within the personal care and cosmetics industry and OTC, with a demonstrated track record of Regulatory Compliance and Product registrations.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess their impact on product formulations, labeling, and marketing materials.

In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines governing personal care, cosmetic and household products, including extensive knowledge of Global and Regional Personal Care/ Cosmetic Regulations, including but not limited to: US FDA, CIR, IFRA, Health Canada, EU Cosmetic Regulation, California Proposition 65, CSCP and MoCRA.

  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and compliance, combined with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills in a fast-paced plant operations environment
  • Understands the importance of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making, with regards to regulation and compliance.
  • Formulates conclusions and solutions, using logic, reasoning, and analysis of gathered data, information and relatable events, concerning regulatory compliance.
  • Maintains regularly updated physical and electronic files that are retrievable, accurate, and audit worthy.
  • Adjusts actions in response to situation and available information.

Technology/Software:

  • Possess strong computer literacy skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.
  • Utilizes a database and other digital files to create reports and dossiers.

Must work effectively as a team member in all situations.

Must work well under pressure.

Must exhibit strong leadership skills in a fast paced plant operations environment
