Primary tasks include data wrangling and cleaning, completing statistical analyses, drafting the methods and results sections of manuscripts, assisting researchers with study design selection, and providing additional statistical support to researchers. The analyst will be supervised by Dr. Todd MacKenzie, Professor of Biomedical Data Science and Director of the BSC . The analyst is required to work in-person 1-2 days a week and can work remotely the remainder of time. Description: Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp: Masters plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Master's Degree in statistics or closely related field and 1-3 year's experience.Ability to work independently on statistical analyses.Organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to execute prescribed statistical analysis plans.Ability to summarize findings from statistical analyses in writing and verbally.Ability to communicate effectively with researchers seeking statistical support. Preferred Qualifications: PhD or master's degree and 5 plus years' experience.Experience collaborating as a statistician within and across multidisciplinary teams.Experience completing statistical analyses within biomedical research, clinical trials, or related contexts. Percentage Of Time: 10 Description: Statistical Modeling and InferenceUses statistical models such as linear regression, logistic regression, Poisson regression and Cox regression models for time-to-event data.Use mixed effects models or generalized estimating equations for clustered and repeated measures data.Create reports summarizing statistical analyses for researchers and guide researchers in interpreting statistical inference.Identify and execute appropriate statistical methods for high dimensional data Percentage Of Time: 20 Description: Machine Learning and PredictionUtilize prediction algorithms such as random forests and penalized models (e.g., LASSO ). Percentage Of Time: 10 Description: Manuscript PreparationDraft statistical methods sections for abstracts and manuscripts with support from senior biostatisticians.Advise on the writing of results sections of abstracts and manuscripts. Percentage Of Time: 10 Description: Manage Ongoing and Completed ProjectsMaintain status lists of active and completed projects with proper attention to deadlines and priority.Be responsive to researchers seeking statistical expertise.
