Job Summary:NIC Industries is seeking a Senior Scientist to join our Research and Development team. In this role, you will be a key technical advisor, collaborating with the Associate Director of Products and R&D Chemists. You'll contribute to the development of cutting-edge polymer materials for high-performance coatings, leading initiatives to create, test, and scale innovative solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate chemical innovations into new and existing products.
- Lead the scale-up process for new polymers, ensuring smooth transition to plant operations.
- Conduct instrumental analysis and manage the production of large-scale intermediates.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to create new materials and coatings.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex formulation and production challenges.
- Manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions to advance project goals.
- Develop testing protocols and ensure product compliance with quality standards.
- Oversee the transition of new products from R&D to full-scale manufacturing.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely and accurate project reports, technical documentation, and presentations to senior leadership.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Use advanced analytical techniques to improve product performance and troubleshoot challenges.
- Provide expert guidance to junior R&D chemists and foster an innovative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience.
- Strong background in organic, inorganic, or analytical chemistry.
- Proven experience in polymer or coatings development, and process optimization.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication abilities, with experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment and advanced analysis software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or materials science industries.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO, GMP, etc.).
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to hazardous substances; strict adherence to safety protocols required.
