We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our dynamic and growing information security team. The Sr. Security Engineer will implement business continuity and disaster recovery practices that will result in improved defenses and resiliency against security threats, such as ransomware attacks. The Sr. Security Engineer will work closely with several technology companies within Fullsteam's umbrella that operate in multiple industries. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Align internal stakeholders to business continuity and disaster recovery standards and strategies.
  • Assess the business continuity and disaster recovery maturity of Fullsteam's Business Units.
  • Engage with Business Unit Technical Staff in order to mentor them regarding their backup and recovery testing strategy.
  • Establish and update guidance provided to business units on what a successful backup program looks like.
  • Validate recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives provided by business units and ensure that those objectives and results from Business Impact Analysis are assessed when developing the backup and recovery testing strategy.
  • Advise business units on Business Impact Assessments and provide guidance on how to complete them.
  • Assist business units in establishing and optimizing Disaster Recovery Procedures including tabletops and other testing exercises.
  • Recommend infrastructure improvements to business units to improve system resiliency.
Primary Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in backup and recovery technologies.
  • Experience completing backup strategies, recovery tests, disaster recovery, and business impact analysis.
  • Experience administering backup systems and performing recovery testing.
  • Strong understanding of different types of systems and the backup needs of each one.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex environments and develop effective security solutions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating security concepts and strategies to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive security initiatives across multiple business units.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, GWAPT) are desirable.
