We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for being the leader in the design, build, testing, and implementation of security systems within the organization's IT network. Your primary responsibility is the protection of the organization's information assets, which includes the applications we build, maintain and provide for our customers, from potential threats. The Senior Security Engineer will implement controls according to our layered security approach that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the organizations Identity & Access Management Process and Procedures, across multiple systems and functions.
- Supports the organization's cloud infrastructure in AWS & Azure, ensuring its security and compliance with best practices while collaborating with other teams to integrate security throughout the entire infrastructure.
- Capable of securing and monitoring an Infrastructure-As-Code environment.
- Performs regular system tests and helps monitor network security.
- Must have a well-developed understanding of current and evolving threats, contributing to threat research and security strategy.
- Responsible for the security system design and implements enhancements as needed.
- Analyzes attacker TTPs from security events in a diverse network of security devices and end-user systems.
- Assists in establishing disaster recovery procedures and conducting security drills.
- Helps develop and maintain Incident Response (IR) plans and playbooks.
- Supports response to security incidents and post-event analysis.
- Communicates effectively and collaborates with other teams to integrate security throughout the organization's infrastructure.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentor other engineers and peers across the entire Information Security organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelors degree in information technology/security and 3-5 years of experience in the
- IT/Information Security field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of Information Security and IT Risk Management.
- Familiarity with current IT risks and security solution implementation.
- Experience working in DevSecOps / IaC environments, leveraging tools such as
- Terraform, Gitlab, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
- Basic project management skills and progress reporting.
- Ability to interact with diverse personnel to support security measures.
- Skill in planning, organizing, and prioritizing workloads.
- Good written, verbal communication, business acumen, and commercial outlook.
- A combination of the following certifications is preferred: CISSP, CISM Security+, CEH, CCSP, CCSK, GCIH, GCIA.
